Immunological contraception, a kind of new contraception way to regulate and control the fertility of human based on the principle of Immunology, is being developed by scientists in the world recently. Many reports have indicated that some components of reproductive system, such as spermatoza, ova, and reproductive hormones, have antigenicity. The immunological response induced by sperm antigen, ova antigen, and reproductive hormone antigen can interfer the physiological regulation of fertility. This is the theory basis of the immunological contraception.There are several kind ways to regulate the fertility of human by the immunological method. Among of these, the most practical way is the active immunization with the specific antigen of reproductive system, namely vaccine immunization. The advantage of this way is that it can induce the immunological response of body for a long time after one or several immunizations.
