ObjectiveTo observe the effects of electric acupuncture on learning memory and cholinergic system for analyzing the mechanism of action of electric acupuncture for AD. Methods3-month mice were randomly divided into normal group, sham operated group, AD model group, electric acupuncture treat group, then induced by injection of subcutaneouly on the back with D-galactose to make AD model. After treating for four weeks, water maze was used to observe the ability of space learning memory and radioimmunoassay was used to assay the activity of acetylcholine(Ach) and Choline acetyltransferase(ChAT)in brain,and chemical shade selection method was used to detect the content of the nitrogen monoxidum and the nerve nitricoxide synthase( nNOS ) in brain. To observed the P38 content and the apoptosis number of brain nerve cell in brain . Results1 In the behavior experiment, not all the ability of learning gain and the competence of information reserve ,the significant differences were observed between the model and normal group (p<0.01). electric acupuncture can improve the ability of learning(p<0.01).2 The activity of ChAT and Ach was lower in AD model rats than that of normal rats obviously (p<0.01). The remarkably improved rates of the electric acupuncture groups(p<0.01).the electric acupuncture group for Ach were1.25 times.And the ChAT werel.31 times than the model group respectively.3 The marks of the nNOS concerned on AD mode of was lower than the other groups .
