Bowel Part Of The Mechanism Of Particle Treatment Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Yi ji granule (YJG) is based on the long-term proved effective prescription for constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) ; the experimental study on was expected to explain what is the YJG' pharmacological effect on visceral hypersensitivity rats and mechanism.Research results showed that YJG could improve the movement of small intestine. The movement obvious inhibitory induced by atropine could be changed by YJG. Low-dose YJG improve isolated smooth muscle resting tension and contraction while high-dose YJG inhibit. YJG was no obvious effects of abdominal pain induced by acetic acid.The visceral hypersensitivity model rats were established by intrarectal administration of acetic acid. In contrast to model group, result suggests YJG increase the threshold of abdominal withdrawal reflex (AWR). Colon substance P (SP) of YJG group showed significantly increase. Model group' s the positive index(IOD) of serotoninergic neurons/fibers increased in the colon submucosa layer , and the IOD of SP neurons/fibers (SNF) in spinal cord was decrease significantly. Compared with model control group, YJG and Tegaserod could change these pathological action.The abnormal function of serotoninergic neurons/fibers in colon may be one of the mechanisms of visceral hypersensitivity. YJG ' s work is decreasing the SNF .harmful message from colon is inhibited.
