The recognition of TCM(Traditional Chinese Medicine) syndrome(zheng) is one of the most hot and hard problem now. Animal models of TCM syndrome should simulate the clinical fact in pathology and physiology and should be scored normatively. Heart failure is one of the most serious disease-killers. It is a overloading cardiomyopathy made by gene anomal-expression that come from insufficient energy for a long time. In TCM pathogenesis, heart failure is asthenia of cardiac qi. The disease- syndrome animal model of heart failure and asthenia of cardiac qi is a combining site to research these problems. Objectives1 To compare the syndrome of asthenia of cardiac qi of 3 animal models.2 To seek the hylic root of heart failure and asthenia of cardiac qi by researching of heart energy metabolism.Methods1 Make 3 SD rat models. Then score them by clinical TCM asthenia of cardiac qi syndrome differentiating criteria /and heart failure diagnostic criteria quantificationally. One model is heart failure after myocardial infarction by ligaturing coronary artery and drinking L-NNA. It is pathological and about TCM syndrome. The other two are physiological disorder, natural apolexis (18-month-old SD rat) and sleep deprivation(SD rat). The indexes are heart function(SV, Co and CI), heart rate, respiratory rate, swimming-exhausted time, etc.2 Make standard rat model of heart failure and asthenia of cardiac qi according to method 1. Research its heart' s infarction zone and/or non- infarction zone by functional gene' s differential expression spectra and enzymes(SDH and ATP enzyme, biochemically) of energy metabolism in the early .middle and later stage of heart failure respectively.3 Research the heart enzymes(SDH and ATP enzyme, biochemically) of energy metabolism of natural apolexis model.Results1 The 3 SD rat models, heart failure and asthenia of cardiac qi(high heart rate, high respiratory rate, short swimming-exhausted time and low heart function, P<0. 01 or P<0. 05), natural apolexis (low respiratory rate, short swimming-exhausted time and low CI, P<0.01 or P<0.05)and sleep deprivation ((high heart rate, high respiratory rate, short swimming-exhausted time and high heart function, P<0.01 or P<0.05), are pathological andphysiological respectively. They all have asthenia of cardiac qi.But have different characteristics. The natural apolexis model has light asthenia of cardiac qi and inreversible. Some of them have tumours. The sleep deprivation model have complicated TCM syndromes. Its asthenia of cardiac qi is reversible. The heart failure model have serious and more characteristic asthenia of cardiac qi. Its disciplinary TCM syndromes come from the heart' s inreversible pathological change.2 Functional gene' s differential expression spectra of energy metabolism of the heart' s infarction zone and/or non- infarction zone of the model of heart failure and asthenia of cardiac qi relates to all the production, transmission and utilization of energy metabolism. For example, the three energy metabolism, biological oxidation, AK channel and ATP utilization, etc. In the early stage of heart failure, small amounts energy genes are up-regulative. In the middle and the later, great amounts ones are down-regulative, especially the middle. (P<0.01, P<0.05) In this experiment, energy genes' up-regulation and down-regulation mean increasing and decreasing of energy respectively.3 Enzymes(SDH and ATP enzyme) of energy metabolism of the heart' s non-infarction zone of the model of heart failure and asthenia of cardiac qi: In the early, muscular tissue Na+-K+ ATP enzyme' s and chondrosome Na+-K+ ATP enzyme' s activity enhances. In the middle and the later, the activity of muscular tissue NaMO ATP enzyme, Ca2+ ATP enzyme, Ca2+-Mg2+ ATP enzyme and chondrosome NaMOATP enzyme weakens (P<0. 01, P<0. 05) .4 Enzymes(SDH and ATP enzyme) of energy metabolism of the model of natural apolexis and asthenia of cardiac qi: the activity of muscular tissue SDH and Na+-K+ATP enzyme weakens (P<0. 05) .Conclusions1 Among these pathological and physiologica...
