Abstract/Summary:
Su Wen Shi Yi is an annotation book of Huang Di Nei Jin Su Wen, Which was written by Zhang Qi in Qin dynasty. This book is useful for our study on Su Wen, but it has not been paid enough attention to by generations. In order to reveal it?s scholastic value , nine items were studied, such as author?s life story , how many works written by Zhang Qi, the editions of Su Wen Shi Yi, the methods and content of annotation scholastic attainments, the influence to the descendents etc. It is inferred: Zhang Qi was born in 1764, died in 1833, he was 70 years old; when he was 50 years old ,he passed the examination and became an officer ruling a county. Being a excellent offi- cer, he was respected by people, his story has been kept in historic book Qin SM Gao. He was also a poet, geologist, physician. Gu Shi Lu and Li Shan Ci are his poetic works, Zhan Cuo Che SM Di is his geological work, Su Wen Shi Yi and Ben Cao Shu Lu are his medical works. The main editions of Su Wen SM Yi are handwritting edition, Dao Guang edition, Tang Chengzhi edition and Zhang SW Yi Ji San Thong edition. Compared Su Wen Shi Yi with Su Wen?s editions printed in Yuan and Ming dynasty ,it is regarded that the o- nginal edition used by Zhang Qi probably is Thao?s edition, which has tweleve vol- umes. The content of annotation includes words, phrases, terms, sentenses, structure of article etc. The methods of annotation used by Zhang Qi are quoting, revealing medi- cal knowlege and explaining word ?meanings. The academic attainments of his annota- tion are : Yang is more important than Yin; the relations of Yin and Yang , such as in- terdependence, oppsition, restriction are elaborated; the hepatic stagnation and splenic deficiency is the main pathogenesis of diseases; the theory of Xiang Huo is developed. The revising methods used in Su Wen SM Yi include: compareing different kinds of editions; compareing same content in this book?s different parts ; useing related other books revising ; inferring from the medical theory and word meaning. The last one is used in large amounts. The books which were quoted to annotation by Zhang Qi were rearched textually. Su Wen Sb Yi influencs the descendents in some degree. Danbo Yuanjian, a Japenese scholar quoted many annotations in his work Su Wen Shao Zhi. Pro. Cheng Sh ide and Pro. Cuo Aichun also quoted many annotations in their books. In sum, we can get some valuhal experences from Zhang Qi?s annotation. Certainly ,errors can?t be avoided in Zhang?s annotation oweing to the limit of historical age, but one flaw cannot obscure the splendor of the jade.
