Proliferation and apoptosis are two important physiological activitiesthrough cell life. Through long term research a lot of oncogenes andanti-oncogenes have been found taking part in regulation of proliferation andapoptosis. Mutation, infection, metabolism and environmental agents willchange the genetic background of oncogenes and anti-oncogenes,makeregulation disorder and cause various kinds of disease including tumor. So it'simportant to understand the mechanism of oncogenes/anti-oncogenesinteraction,to investigate they functions and effects for apprehension life andcure disease. Here we investigated the influence of ruvbl2,one of AAA+ family memberon arf transcriptional control. We identified ruvbl2 as a new transcriptionalrepression gene and a new promoter binding protein of arf, gave newinformation about arf transcriptional control and ruvbl2 function.Using functional screening based on yeast,we found RNA bindingdomain of hnrnpu is able to rescue apoptosis caused by caspase8.Reseachin tumor cell line Hela indicated hnrnpu can protect cell against apoptosiscaused by Doxorubicin and UV,promote cell survival and proliferation.HnrnpuRNAi makes it clear that hnrnpu is necessary for normal cell cycle.Downregulation of hnrnpu causes cell synthesis period block. All of these show thathnrnpu is an oncogene. It will be a valuable target for tumor therapy.
