Molecular conductor is a shortened form for electrically conductive molecular ctystals. which exhibit conductive and even super conductive properties. The difference between a molecular conductor and an element conductor is the conductive unites within them, and it is molecules in the former and atoms in the latter. Strong molecular interactions are distinguished a molecular conductor crystal from a normal molecular crystal. The discovery of molecular conductor has significant effects molecular science, solid-state physics and materials science. Hereto, the development of molecular conductors shows that electronic donors based on TTF (tetrathiafulvalene) and its derivatives present the most excellent conductive property among molecular conductors. TTP (tetrathiapentalene) is the third generation of TTF-based molecular electron donor.Preparing a molecular conductor involves two aspects: synthesizing electronic donors (or electronic accepters) and crystallizing them. Synthesis is the most important aspect. However, there had been a lot of difficulties in the preparation of new electronic donors of this kind because of the complicated processes involved. To this day, only a few molecular conductors crystallized from these electronic donors have been obtained.The third generation of electronic donor based on TTFIn this thesis, syntheses of new electronic donors (TTP), which belong to the third generation of TTF molecular donors, are reported, including 1) syntheses, crystallization and crystal structures of three kinds of precursors for the new TTP, i.e. precursors of kind I (PI), of kind II (PII), and of kind III (PIII), as well as linear and nonlinear optical properties of some of them. 2) preparation and crystal structures of the new TTP compounds.In addition, syntheses of two compounds of the sort of molecule semiconductor and hydrothermal preparation of two complexes will be included in this work. too.
