In internal and external, the topic of dynamic target tracking and measuring is one of forward position in test technology field, and its achievement was used mainly in military area, astronautic area, traffic area, and so on. In brief, our level of the researching and application is less developed in the world. For tracking the world forward position, developing our target tracking and measruement in shooting range, and then exploring the way and method of computer aided testing in target tracking and measuring area, The topic of tracking & measuring was choosed as my Ph.D. Degree researching. In general view, my paper includes two parts. The first, the elementary theory and method of target tracking & measuring has been researched systematically, and the method of photoelectric tracking and measuring multiple targets in shooting range has been build. The second, the dynamic characteristic about shooting range target moving and its computer simulation have been researched. The computer aided way and method of photoelectric tracking and measuring has been build. At last, its simulation test has been provided in our paper. The main contents was presented as follows: 1. The modern status and developing direction of dynamic target tracking & measuring and computer simulation technology was presented. The related concepts and theory of the technology were explained. 2. The specific principles about tracking & measuring technology in shooting range have been researched systematically. The contents are basic principle of target tracking, the moving model of tested targets, the characteristic and its tracking principle of sensors in common used, the pattern of optical tracking, and so on. 3. Based on the prior researching in our institute, the method of tracking & measuring aerial target position using photoelectric theodolite has been researched systematically. The contents are the choice of photoelectric tracking & measuring scheme, the method of measurement data processing, the correction of measuring errors, the correction of light wave refraction, the solution for the trajectory parameter, and so on. 4. For researching the technology of dynamic target tracking & measuring and its simulation, the linear characteristic of optical system, the characteristic random of noise in optical tracking & measuring, and characteristic of time-series data have been researched systematically. 5. We used the GS set high-speed photographic instrument that was designed and produced in our institute and air defense artillery as the simulation objects. The testing circumstance and the bullets moving characteristic have been simplified and approximated. The simulation method is simulating tested object flight first, the simulating optical measurement process second, the adding measurement noise last. The simulation of target follow-up optical tracking & measuring process in shooting range has been completed. 6. The multiple target tracking & measuring is the difficult problem that need to be resolved urgently in our country. After researching the method of optical measuring multiple ballistic curves, we have provided a method of 3D exploring multiple ballistic curves.
