The study of the FEEEP problem is derived from the conference held in Osaka of Japan by the member states of the 1995 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC),and the core content of it is how to provide sufficient food and energy supply, meanwhile ensure the sustainable use of resources and the good maintenance of ecological environment under the pressure of rapid population growth and rapid economic development. So the five factors involved in the FEEEP problem are very critical of the regional sustainable development, and these five elements are not independence of each other, but they constitute a sustainable compound system with mutual influence and restrict., which is referred to as FEEEP system.The essence of sustainable development demands that the social and the economy develops persistently, orderly, stably and coordinated under a certain period and the conditions of science and technology, which is also restrainted by the population, resource and environment. The strong capability of coordination between the various elements means that the system obtains larger economic and social development with less resource consumption and environment. So the study of the coordination development of the regional FEEEP system help to understand the capability of the regional sustainable development and it would be the fundamental premise of solving the regional FEEEP problem and promoting regional sustainable and coordinated development.This paper has examined the existing problems and deficiency of the current research by analyzing the current relevant literature of the coordinated development of the sustainable compound system, the follow five aspects were studied with the quantitative analysis of coordinated development of regional FEEEP system as the research purpose and the China FEEEP system as the research object:1. The internal structural symbiotic relationship and regional characteristics of the coordinated development of the FEEEP system was analyzed base on symbiosis theory, as well as the classification of the quantitative measure of the coordinated development of regional FEEEP system. The results show that: the Regional FEEEP system is a compound system, which has the typical characteristics of symbiotic. In the long run it has a positive evolution of a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship and the quantitative analysis of the coordinated development of the FEEEP system is a comprehensive reflection of the theoretical analysis of symbiosis.2. The PLS path model was proposed to measure the level of the coordinated development of regional FEEEP system based on analyzing the deficiency of the existing coordinated development level measuring model of the compound sustainable system, and the coordinated development indicators system of the regional FEEEP system was built under the guidance of the symbiotic theory from the three dimensions of the total ,structure and quality respectively ,and measuring the coordinated development level of China FEEEP systems of the past three decades since the reform and opening up. Studies have shown that: the PLS Path model can compensate for the deficiency of the existing models and adapts to measure coordinated development level of the regional FEEEP systems, the level of the coordinated development of China FEEEP system and the various subsystems is presented an increasing trend on the whole since reform and opening up ,none of the systems has got rid of the extensive type of growth pattern, and the most important factor, which constrained the improvement of the coordinated development level of China FEEEP system is the environmental subsystem3. The coordination degree measuring model based on comprehensive change was constructed by summarizing the coordination degree measuring models of the existing sustainable complex system and analyzing the type of the coordination degree of regional FEEEP system based on the guidance of the connotation of coordination degree of compound systems and the coordination degree of the China FEEEP system of the past three decades from the beginning of the reform and opening up. The results show that the constructed coordination degree measuring model can effectively measure the related coordination degree of the regional FEEEP system, and the internal coordination degree of the food, economic and population subsystems is in the coordinated state, while the energy and environment subsystems is imbalance, and the coordination degree between the systems are all in the state of coordination, the key subsystem which constraint the improvement of the inter-subsystem coordination degree is the population subsystem, The key path ,which affect the is the coordination degree of the composite system is the environment-population, food-economy-population, food-economy-environment-population.4. Constructing the internal coordinated mutually beneficial symbiotic evolution model and discussing the dynamic equilibrium and the conditions, which is the basis for constructing the method to measure the internal local steady-state coefficient and the evolution path and the steady-state of the internal coordination of the past three decades from the reform and opening up of China FEEEP subsystems was analyzed empirically. The results shows that the saddle point equilibrium conditions of regional FEEEP system is that the effects of the integrated coordinated development is greater than 1,the interracial coefficient between the systems is greater than zero, and the China FEEEP system and the subsystem, in the whole, has an increasing trend and all the system is along the saddle-point equilibrium path, the steady degree of the them is differ greatly.5. The super-efficiency DEA models was constructed under the traditional DEA theory base on the changing production possibility ideal and in conjunction with Malmquist index the technological effects measuring model was constructed for the FEEEP system by defining the connotation of the technology effects of the coordinated development of regional FEEEP systems, and finally the technology-related effecting index was measured according to the above model, and technology diffusion effect was tested by applying the convergence model. The results shows that the constructed model is effective adapted to measure the technical effect of the regional FEEEP system,and In the study period,the comprehensive technical effect of China's Provincial FEEEP is rising as a whole, and the technological improvements promote the integration technology of FEEEP system to improve,while the decline in technical efficiency is caused by the decline of the scale efficiency and the pure technical efficiency,and from the law of the technical proliferation, only the central region is obeyσconvergence, but all of the index is subject toβconvergence...
