With the development of biology technology, life science has entered the era of system biology based on omics analysis. For a fast, integrated and high throughput data analysis, we introduce state-of-the-art data mining technology - workflow into biology data analysis. Workflow is such technology as the implement of separatation of flow logic and business logic, supporting the analysis and defination of business workflow, as well as the self assembling of modules. This technology can decrease the developing speed of complex data analysis, and increase the management efficiency of application system. The introduction of workflow technology into the field of life science will apply the workflow platform to bioinformatics data analysis strategies. By participating in the analysis of all kinds of omics data, we summarize some general analysis piplines including some requirement and related softwares in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics. We modularize the process of data analysis we involved in, construct anlysis workflows for various requirement of biological data, based on the deep understanding of biology. The details of the introduction of workflow technology into bio-science and pipelines for omics data analysis will be introduced in this article.
