Yangliuping Ni-PGE sulfide deposit is located in the southern Danba Sichuan province and consisting of Yangliuping ore block, Zhengziyanwo ore block, Xiezuoping ore block and Daqiangyanwo ore block. Yangliuping ore block and Zhengziyanwo ore block have been investigated. Ultramafic bodies hosting Ni–PGE sulfide. Characteristics on petrology and ore minerals, PGE occur and occurrence regularity of Yangliuping ore block and Zhengziyanwo ore block are discussed to improve recovery of PGE in dressing processes, realize dispersed, enrichment regularity of PGE, genesis of deposit and element transportation.The slightly different petrology characteristics of Yangliuping ore block and Zhengziyanwo ore block. It is concerned with degree of upper mantle partially molten magma and emplacement depths. Orthopyroxene peridotite is the major rock type. Amphibolite is found in Yangliuping ore block. Magnesite biotite schist is found in Zhengziyanwo ore block. The rock textures of Zhengziyanwo ore block are more abundant than Yangliuping ore block. Mineralogical date indicate that sill is mainly tholeiitic basalt, with poor in alkali and mafic rocks of low Ca. Ultrabasite formed by fractional crystallization from mafic magmas in platform.The ore types, tectonics and textures of Yangliuping ore block and Zhengziyanwo ore block are similar. It suggested that deposit type and forming conditions are similar. Magmatic liquation, hydrothermal veinlet disseminating and taxitic are the major ore type. Disseminated, skeletal crystal, grained sideronitic, massive and reticulated are the major ore tectonics. Hypidiomorphic crystal texture, euhedral crystal texture, xenomorphic crystal texture, eutectic texture, poikilitic texture, nodular texture from solid solution decomposition and replacement relict texture are the major ore textures. Pyrrhotite, pentlandite, chalcopyrite, magnetite, hematite, cobaltite, pyrite and ilmenite are the major minerals. Zincite, cuprite, bornite, covellite and gold are the accessory minerals. Pyrrhotites reveal rangeing Ni contents (1.18% to 6.9%). Ni/Fe values range from 0.03 to 0.08.PGE have not been identified under polarization microscope after mineral processing. It suggests PGE minerals are too small. PGE occurrence regularity in the minerals was performed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with attached energy-dispersion system (EDX).PGE Grain-size is range from 0.5μm to 2μm in diameter. PGM are so less, but are abundant in variety. Pt minerals and Pd minerals is the major PGM. Pd minerals are more than Pt minerals. Tellurium antimonide of Pd, antimonide of Pd, sperrylite and small amount of sulfide of Ru-Os are the major PGM in Yangliuping ore block. Sperrylite and tellurium antimonide of Pd are the major PGM in Zhengziyanwo ore block.PGE minerals are found at pyroxene and olivine in Zhengziyanwo ore block. PGE minerals are found at magnesite in Yangliuping ore block.PGM mainly hosted in pyrrhotite, followed by magnetite and pyrite. Minor PGM hosted in hematit, chalcopyrite, millerite and cobaltite. Different type of PGM hosted in Different metallic minerals. Tellurium antimonide of Pd grains, antimonide of Pd grains hosted in pyrrhotite. Sperrylite and sulfide of Ru-Os of Yangliuping ore blocks are the major PGM. Os-Ir oxide has been identified. It exist correlation between Ni and PGE minerals. PGE-bearing pyrrhotite exhibits high Ni. There is correlation between Cr and PGE minerals.Mineralization assemblage is Te—As—Sb—Bi of Pd—Pt. Crystalline sequence of PGM has two stages at Yangliuping ore block. The first stage is formation of PGM with magnetite. The second stage is formation of PGM with Cu-Fe-Ni sulfides. Crystalline sequence of PGM has one stage at Zhengziyanwo ore block. It is formation of PGM with Cu-Fe-Ni sulfides. It is affirmed to be a magmatic segregation deposit.Using mechanical process based on PGE occurrence regularity. Gravity Separation, floatation dressing method and magnetic Separation are mainly Mineral Processing. Pyrrhotite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and mackinawite contain Ni. Recovery of Ni should be considered in mineral processing.
