A Study Of Innovation Efficiency And Developing Mode In Innovative Enterprises

During the transitional period when the trend of global economic development is transferred from investment-oriented industrial economy to innovation- oriented knowledge economy, the center of competition between countries has been transformed to the challenge of technical innovation, technical efficiency and technical progress. The innovation capacity of enterprises which are the microcosmic main body of national economy is the foundation,the source and the driving force for innovation capacity of the whole nation. The development of innovative enterprises is essential to the increase of national independent innovation capacity. Under the background of economic globalization, it is of great practical significance to conduct research on such issues as forming mechanism, development mode, formation mechanism and sustainable innovation system of innovative enterprises.The innovation efficiency of enterprises is representative of the core parameter for a region or innovation capacity of one certain industry. Innovation is not necessarily confined to research and development section, but is supposed to cover the thorough innovation including business organization, institution, technology and management.The differentiation of factors affecting enterprise innovation may lead to innovative development mode which enterprises,with the rapid development of innovative enterprises, will choose according to their unique characteristics. However, relater research on innovative enterprises is still in primary stage. Both the evaluation of innovation efficiency and the research on the differentiation of innovation efficiency from perspective of innovative development are insufficient in the existing literature.This dissertation, based on systematic summary of relevant literature on innovation efficiency,on the development mode of innovative enterprises and on the use of data of innovative enterprises, establishes the evaluation system index and conducts the overall evaluation index on the development of innovative enterprises in Hebei province.Besides, this dissertation opens the “black box”in the process of technological innovation. Then, a hybrid DEA network is established which is targeted at the technological innovation system and an empirical study is conducted to analyze the business performance of innovative enterprises in Hebei province based on the clear differentiation of technological R&D efficiency and technological transformation efficiency. At last,this dissertation analyzes the characteristics of innovative development, summarizes different mode of innovative development in Hebei province and puts forward the cultivation mechanism which will contribute to the improvement of innovative enterprises.Both the theoretical and empirical analysis indicate that, with both qualitative and quantitative methods, the innovative evaluation index system which is established from such three dimensions as input capacity, implementation capacity and output capacity can work great for the effective evaluation of innovation. This dissertation arrives at the following conclusions by comparing the traditional DEA model with hybrid DEA network model. For one thing, the traditional DEA model maintains that innovation outputs of enterprises is the synthesis of new technology and new products. That is o say, enterprise innovation stimulated by both innovative capital and innovative human resource, is the process in which new technology and new products formulate a single stage linear. While hybrid DEA network, however, considers innovative process as the two-stage linear process covering both patent development process and transformation process of innovation. For another, compared with hybrid DEA network model, the traditional DEA model seems to overestimate the overall innovation efficiency of enterprises. The transformation efficiency of innovative enterprises in Hebei province is better than the efficiency of R&D in general from the innovative process of two-stage linear. The development mode of innovative enterprises in Hebei province, according to the efficiency rating value and qualitative evaluation criteria, can be divided into the following models. They are “strong R&D weak transformation”,“strong R&D intensive transformation”,“weak R&D weak transformation”,“weak R&D weak transformation”, innovative digestion and absorption mode, indigenous research mode and organizational management mode. The future developing trend of innovative enterprises is supposed to be transformed from low opening and ready-to-use learning mode to high opening and exploratory expansion mode, which will definitely contribute to the innovative development of some other enterprises in Hebei province.
