To solve the problems of both the contradiction between supply and demand, andthe lack of funds, mineral enterprises have conducted some reforms to makecontinuous improvement from both product structure and financing, which makestherelationship of listed companies more complicated. Therefore, with complex networksfromholding-based perspective, we construct complex models to analyze the complexrelationship between listed mining companies by network diagrams empirically. It isof great practical significance to study the complex relationship features ofcompetition and cooperation between mining listed companies. The main work andinnovation are as follows.Firstly, competition and cooperation models and topological characteristics oflisted mining companies are analyzed from perspective of holding-based mainproducts. The findings show that the overall relationship structure of listed miningcompanies is complex, with different companies in different positions. The ones incore position are more competitive, but facing larger pressure. The whole networkdiagram has obvious small-world features and clustering coefficient with5sub-groups. The interaction among listed mining companies is quite closer, indicatingthat the relation of competition and cooperation coexist with similar structures.Secondly, from models and topological features based on main productoverlapping rate, most listed mining companies have intense competition with morecompetitors and at the same time, they have more cooperation. The influence betweenthem caused by competition and cooperation is widespread. The distance the impactsgo through is shorter, they spread faster. The higher clustering coefficient is, thestronger the mutual competition is. Within a small range of clustering, there existcooperation and possibility of collusion.Thirdly, from perspective of mutual shareholders, relevant models of competitionand cooperation in listed mining companies have been built, showing its topologicalcharacteristics. The results reveal that Chinese listed mining companies have theprominent convergence, involving sub-group of financial institutions, investment convergence in equity financing.Holding-based listed mining companies are closelyrelated with more overlapping cliques and large number of interactions. Holding theirobvious central positions, some sub-groups are formed with the four state-ownedcommercial banks as their cores. They exert great impact on the other companies aswell as the whole industry, formingcompetition and cooperation structure amonglisted mining companies. The results of the study provide the to-be and have-been listed mining companieswith information of the whole industry and their respective positions, hoping to helpthem make effective adjustment in their industrious structure to cooperate positivelyand enhance competitiveness. In order to enlarge their sustainable developmentpotential, collaborative competition helpslisted companies to expand their potentialfor their further development.
