Optimizing structure and allocation of rural-urban construction land use is not only an important method to balance urban-rural development and realize "Socialist New Countryside", but also a scientific reference to promote land intensive use, accelerate the construction of resource-saving and environment-friendly society and build a harmonious socialist. How to reasonable adjust the proporation of urban construction land and rural residential land, then actively promote the Pothook of urban construction Land Increase and Rural Residential Land decreaseuse for achieving the sustainable development of land resource in China has become a key issue both in theoretical circles and in practice. It is high time to studying the land structure and optimized layout of rural-urban construction land to formulate a scientific and feasible planning.This paper present a new methodology----complex spatial decision-making model, combining SD with extended CA to solve some drawbacks found in the current land layout in China, which took emphasized particularly on optimizing the quantity structure, but neglected spatial allocation of urban-rual construction land.The results showed that the coupled model took the advantages of system dynamic model in scenario analysis and temporal simulation of local land use, and CA in spatial allocation of local land use. The model could assistd planners and decision-makers to allocate land use quantificationallly on temporal scale and spatially in specifice location.By studying the land structure and optimized layout of rural-urban construction land, this paper includes the following five parts:(1) The main literature reviews and research methodologies are introduced. It took urban-rural construction land as an non-linear system of complex dynamic space, and fully applied complex system theory to support the spatial evolvement of urban-rural construction land. By summarizing the methodologies of SD and CA home and abroad, the paper points out the existent problems, based on that,the research framework,objectives, methodology and the possible innovations are put forward.(2) muti-layer spatial complex evolution mechanism of urban-rural construction land was elaborated. It made a brief description about the concepts of urban-rural construction, spatial system and muti-layer spatial allocation and optimization of urban-rural construction land.On the basis of introducing urban-rural spatial system evolution pattern, the author expounded the mechanism and illustrated the time-space complexity of urban-rural construction land expansion and put forward the idea of DPSIR on the base on "queston driving" model, then filtrate the most influential indexes of "driving forces-pressure-appearance-influences-respondence" systerm, which decided the expand of urban-rural construction land.(3)The coupled model interated SD and extended CA was built up. The paper discussed te feasibility and superiority of the coupled model, then introduced detailedly the integration process and ideation of combining SD with extended CA. "From up to down" was the characteristics of SD model, which carried out the analysis of causal relationship, drew the system flow chart, recognized the sensitive factors, and predicted the demand of construction land in the different scenories; "From down to up" and the rule of "complex come from simple" are the principle of CA model, which is limited to describe the typical charcteristics of real geographical system, including non-symmetrieal space, non-geometry attribute,etc. so the standard celluar automata was extended on the aspects of concept neighor and rules in the paper, and a new extended Geo-CA model based on muti-layer and spatial allocation was set up. Much improvement has been made on theories of the muti-layer extended Geo-CA model, which is as follows:selecting cellular entity replace cell to promote the conceptional description of geographic space; giving life to every land cell and set down the different rules according to the different energy values of land cells, putting the random factors into the rules to reflect naturally the essential evolution of urban-rural construction land.(4)The paper took urban-rural construction land spatial layout in Ezhou city of Hubei province as an example.it introduced the background of study eara, data collection and processing, the run flow, parameters and variables setting firstly, then the proposed model has been applied to the simulation of land evolution in Ezhou city in 2006-2020 by the history data of 1989,2004 and 2009, the result indicates that the simulation accuracy is much better than those of the traditional optimization model. Meanwhile, the paper discussed the problems existing in the model, parameters and so on.
