Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a kind of high malignant tumor. At present, HCC is still a life threatening cancer of mankind. Especially in our country, when the time entered 1990s, HCC has become the major killer only to lung cancer within all kind of cancers. There are one hundred thousand people died of this disease every year. So much more effort should be made to study the mechanism of this cancer. To construct the expressed cDNA library and screen the target gene from it by antibodies is an effective method of searching for unknown genes. Hundreds of genes have been cloned using this method since it was invented in 1983. So far, our laboratory has product about 10 strains anti-hepatoma monoclonal antibodies. Among the 10 strains there is one mAb that has been used as a radioimmunoimaging preparation in clinical diagnosis, while its radioimmunotherapeutic preparation is in preclinical test. So the mAb in our laboratory is a good resource. We can use it searching for the hepatoma associated factors, there may be have some...
