Background & AimsAcute pancreatitis, pathologically characterized by interstitial edema and hemorrhage, vacuolization, aciner cell necrosis as well as inflammation, can present with varying degrees of severity and with unpredictable clinic sequel, it is frequently associated with systemic inflammatory response, About 20% patients with acute pancreatitis develop servere condition (multiple organ dysfunction or failure) with a mortality rate over 40%.
