The objective of the experiment is to produce the dextran-oligoamine cationic compound having high transfection efficacy. The significance of the test is in to explore and solve the problem of gene carrier which will be used in gene therapy in the future. At present, although the virus gene carriers have higher gene transfection efficiency, they have defects,including vivo toxicity, immunogenicity and expensive et al. These defects restrict their application. On the other hand, the nonvirus gene carriers are expected to replace the virus gene carriers and become the new generation carriers for gene therapy, because compared with the former, they are safty, have good biocompatibility in vivo. But their transfection efficiencies are expected to be elevated.We select detran-oligoamine cationic compound as the study object, for the cationic compound has a better perspective than others in the future.The main methods and results are as follows:First, Nine species of oxidized dextrans with different aldehyde content have been produced from defferent dextrans, dextran10, dextran40, dextran70, with defferent molecule weight of 10000,40000,and 70000.
