| Objective: To study the theoretical frame of"treatment heart and brain with same methods". To investigate the curative efficiencies of Yiqixinnaoning on patients with cerebral infarction combined cerebral infarction combined angina of coronary atherosclerosis heart disease(CAHD), and its biological mechanism of curative effect. We may provide new theoretical guidance on treatment ischemic angiocardiopathy and cerebrovascular disease by using Traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods: 1. Theories studing methods: By adepting to the literatures, we analysised the physiological realations, the commom characters both of the brain and heart, and then we induced that the cerebral infarction and CAHD were different diseases but coming from the same source. At last we concluded the theories of treatment heart and brain with the same methods.2. Clinical studying methods: 30 cases with cerebral infarction combined CAHD were taken as objects, and treatmeant with chinses medicine Yiqixinnaoning. The whole course of was 4 weeks. By means of comparative the curative effect for patients per as before and arfter therapy and between treatment group and control group which treated with Tongxinluojiaonang, the observations on effects were made. The indexes of curative effects included such as: clinical symptoms integrals; nervus dysfunctions system (NIHSS), gnosia (MMSE), viability (Barthel), quality of life index(QLI), ECG, cardiac function (SV, EF, FS), blood-lipid (TC, TG, LDL, HDL), blood rheologp (whool blood riscosity, plasmic riscosity, fibrinogen), the functions of endothelial cell (ET, NO), c-reative protion, and etc. The safety evalutions were surveillanced at the same time, which included: Blood routine examination, routine uronoscopy, fecal routine examination, liver and renal functions and so on.Results: 1. the results of theories studying: we concluded that cerebral infarction combined CAHD were the different diseases but comging from the same source. Thepositions, causes of the diseases and the pathdgensis development of them were in a high level consistent. Both of their disease positions were the collateral branch of the large channel. The causes of diseases, were cervical carcinoma with cachexia of them; the bases of diseases were blood stasis in the collateral branch of the large channel; and pathogens injuried them were the key course of pathdgensis development. We belived that cerebral infarction combined CAHD were only different in the time of invasion. Finally, they combined in the same case was the inevitable outcome. So we advocated the theories of"treating heart and brain with same methods". Pointmtent on the collateral branch of the large channel and pathogens, we thought that supplementing qi and promoting blood, removing toxic substances and removing obstruction in the channels were important principle in treatment of ischemic angiocardiopathy and cerebrovascular diseases. Meanwhile, we advocated that the clinical application of the theories were promoting functions of the primordial qi, regulation of qi and blood; clearing heat and purging fire, removing toxic substances and removing obstruction in the channels; using drugs pungent in flawor and sweet in taste that could promote the dispersing function, guiding action to the collateral branch of the large channel; employment drugs of parasitosis that could go to everywhere in one's body, expelling pathogenic factor and removing obstruction in the channels, and so on. Especially, we consider the selecting of the drugs which to guide channel tropism to brain, drugs of clearing heat and purging fire.2. The results of clinical reach: The scores declined after 4 weeks treatment. The distinctly improvement symptoms were hemiplegia, numbess, chest pain, cardio palmus, short of breath, asthenia, and spontaneous perspiration (P<0.01), the scores of facial hemiparalysis lowering shorterly (P<0.05). The indexes of NIHSS, MMSE, viability, QLI, frequencies and continude-time of angina pectoris, ECG, cardian function were all improvement too (P<0.01). The whole and plasmic viscosity and blood lipid declined much than befor treatment (P<0.01). The level of ET was lowering and of NO was rised, moreover, the amount of c-creactive protein was declined obviously (P<0.01). The outcomes of statistic showed that, the indexes above of Yiqixinnaoning were better than that of the group of Tongxinluojiaonag (P<0.05), except MMSE, the frequencies and continude-time of angina pectoris and the ECG.Conclusions: After 4 weeks treatment by Yiqixinnaoning, the clinical syptoms and detection indexes of patients with cerebral infarction combined CAHD were improvement obviously. It enbodied that: the syptoms and signs of nervus and circulation systemswereabatement, the condition of blood rheology and blood lipid were improvement; Yiqixinnaoning could srengthen the cardiac function, retection the function of endothelial cell and abatement inflammatory rection. The outcomes of statistic showed that, except MMSE, frequencies and continude-time of angina pectoris and ECG, the other indexes of Yiqixinnaoning were better than that of the group of Tongxinluojiaonag (P<0.05). Yiqixinnaoning possessed the comfired protective functions to angiocardiopathy and cerebrovascular. The studies showed that, the common pathogenesis of cerebral infarction and CAHD were deficiency of qi and blood stasis, pathogens injuried the collateral branch of the large channel. The important principle in treatment on ischemic angiocar diopathy and cerebrovascular disease were supplementing qi and promoting blood, removing toxic substances and removing obstruction in the channel, and treatment heart and brain with the same methods. Yiqixinnaoning possessed notebale curative effect; it was the effctive complex prescription for the treatment of ischemic angiocardiopathy and cerebrovascular disease.
