Background and objectiveUrinary incontinence(UI) is defined as "the complaint of involuntary leakage of urine", and common subtypes of UI include stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence, mixed urinary incontinence and overflow urinary incontinence. The incidence of UI in women is very high and 13% to 62% women suffered from urinary incontinence in different region around the world. UI is increasingly recognized as a health and economic problem, which affects the physical psychological, social and economic wellbeing of individuals.UI may substantially decrease the quality of life in women, and affect the social, domestic, occupational, sexual lives. The symptoms of UI disrupt normal activity patterns and require coping strategies that further limit normal lives in various areas. Individuals may restrict travel and avoid exercise. Embarrassment may also lead to avoiding social contacts and result in isolation. Furthermore, urinary incontinence is a social and hygienic problem that affects women with an estimated annual cost in the United States of $16 billion per year. It is reported that 80% of the women with urinary incontinence could be cured if effective treatment and education were given.
