Objective:Obesity is a major health problem in the world. Obese increases the risk of many diseases and health conditions, including hypertension , dyslipidemia (for example, high total cholesterol or high levels of triglycerides), Type 2 diabetes , coronary heart disease , stroke, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea and respiratory problems, some cancers (endometrial, breast, and colon) and psychological stress. The lipogenese and lipolyse of white fat cell are closely associated with the development of obesity. Icreasing lipolyse can help to reduce the triglyceride store in adipocyt. Hormone sensitity lipase is the rate-limiting enzyme in lipolytic process, plays a key role in this course. The mice 3T3-L1 preadipocyte stably transfected by a luciferase expreeion plasmid which contains the adipose tissue HSL promoter was used as a tool to screening drugs. The aim of this study is to find herb which may influence the activity of the HSL promoter from the numerous natural compounds , then to observe the effects of these drugs on weight, metabolism of glucose and lipid of Kunming mice.
