Objective: To investigate prevalence rates and clustering of cardiovascular risk factor in the Bortala Prefecture of Xinjiang Kazaka, Mongol People,to find the chacracteristics of cardiovascular risk factor in multi-national region and provide basis for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. To explore differences of frequencies of geno-types and alleles between Kazaka and Mongol People in lipoprotein lipase, low density lipoprotein receptor and cholesterol ester transfer protein gene, to find differences of geno-types between various ethnic groups. To explore the relation of polymorphisms of lipoprotein lipase, low density lipoprotein receptor and cholesteryl ester transfer protein gene with main cardiovarscular risk factor (abdominal obesity, hypertension, glucose metabolicdisorder, hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, low high-density lipoproteindemia) in the Bortala Prefecture of Xinjiang Kazaka, Mongol People. Methods: Research objects are Kazaka (647), Mongol (556) people in the Bortala Prefecture of Xinjiang to carry out epidemiology investigation. Body height and weight, waist circle, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were recorded. Plasma glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein-cholesterol, low density lipoprotein...
