The esthetically objectionable black or brown stains and pits or defects on fluorosed dental enamel can be corrected by bleaching, veneering or by the combination use of both.In this study, the color of fluorosed enamel with various degree was measured and the effects of bleaching on the fluorosed enamel was also evaluated with a colorimeter equipment . The different factors affecting the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide were studied, as a result a method to accelerate the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide without heat was posed. The changes of microstructure and elements of fluorosed enamel caused by different bleaching solutions were analyzed with Scanning Electronic Microscope and Electron Probe. The effects of different surface treatments on preventing the bleached enamel from re-staining and assisting it to remineralize were also studied in the experiment. In the second part of the thesis, the result of the changes of fluorosed enamel caused by the different acids for different times was reported. The contact angle between fluorosed enamel and unfiled resin was measured. The shear bond strength between fluorosed enamel of various degree to light cured composite resin were measured. The effects of bleaching on the shear bond strength between bleached fluorosed enamel to composite resin were also studied. The effect of curing of unfilled resin on the bond strength between composite resin to human enamel was also tested in the study.A result of 99 patients with 591 fluorosed teeth treated in clinic since 1988 was reported. On all the said studies, following results and conclusions were obtained.1. The result of bleaching of fluorosed enamel.1) The differences of color parameters between mild, moderate, severe and normal...
