The mechanism and regulation of tissue oxygen transport and oxygenation status is one of the most important phenomena of life. Research in this field is of great significance in elucidating the basic physiologic mechanism and in solving practical problems of aerospace medicine, highland medicine, sport medicine, and clinical medicine (e.g. tumor, trauma, septicaemia, ARDS, and MSOF ). With the development of various types of polarographic oxygen electrodes in recent years, great attention has been paid to studies on tissue oxygen transport and Poz distribution. However, there still remain some questions to be elucidated. In this study, two parts of experiment were performed. In the frist part, the changes of oxygen partial pressure and its distribution within the skeletal muscle tissue of miniature swines during endotoxin infusion were systematically studied, with an aim to elucidate the relationship between tissue oxygenation status and total oxygen transport under septic shock. In the second part, the oxygenation status of the human sarcoma xenograft transplanted in nude rats were... |
