Marine sponges, which belong to Porifera, are a group of multicellular marine organism. Previous works revealed that the secondary metabolites from marine sponge possess remarkable biological activities, such as antibacterial, antitumor (cytotoxic), antifungus, antivirus, antiinflammation activities, and so on.In our ongoing program to search for natural products with unique structural features and pronounced biological activities, the sponge Jaspis sp. was collected from Sanya city, Hainan island, South China sea. Various chromatography techniques were performed for the isolation and purification of the MeOH extracts, from which 32 pure compounds were obtained. Their structures, namely JaspitinA(I), Jaspitin B(II), Jaspolide A(III), Jaspolide B(IV), JaspitinC(V), 13-(E)-isogeoditin A(VI), Jaspolide G(VII), Jaspolide H(VIII), 22, 23- dihydrostellettin D(IX), 22, 23-dihydro- jaspolide A(X), 22, 23- dihydroxy- rhabdastrellic acid A(XI), Jaspolide I (XII), 13-(E)-isogeoditin B(XIII), Geoditin B(XIV), Stellettin C(XV), Stellettin D(XVI), StellettinA(XVII), Stellettin B(XVIII), Stellettin H(XIX), Stellettin I(XX), Rhabdastrellic acid A(XXI), Jaspolide F(XXII), Jaspolide C(XXIII), Jaspolide D(XXIV), Jaspolide J(XXV), Jaspolide K(XXVI), gibepyrone F (XXVII), p-hydroxy benzaldehyde (XXVIII), 3-Indole-3- aldehyde(XXIX), Thymine(XXX), 24(28)-dehydroaplysterol(XXXI), (25s)- 26- methylene- cholest-4-en- 3-one(XXXII) were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis in association with physical and chemical properties, as well as comparison of their spectral data with those reported in literatures. Among them, compound I, II, V are novel skeleton compounds and III, IV, VII-XIII, XXII-XXVI are novel compounds. Some of these compounds were screened for their antitumor (HL-60 human leukemic cell, A-549 human lung cancer cell, Bel-7402 human hepatoma cancer cell, Hela human cerrical cancer cell), COX-2 inhibition, ACE inhibition and PTPIB inhibition... |
