In order to observe changes of serum lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)] levels in patients with coronary heart disease: correlations between Lp(a) levels and lipids, fibrinolytic system parameters, the serial studies were performed as following:I. Lipoprotein(a) assay: Quality control, influence of specimen storage and its values in healthyThe concentration levels of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] were determined for healthy(NS) and patients with coronary heart disease by using ELISA kits. The tests of quality control and sera storage of Lp(a) at different time were performed, and the Lp(a) levels distribution in healthys were investigated. The results showed: (1).Average coefficient of variation(CV) was 5.18% within group, 9.86% among groups ; the rate of difference for inter-laboratory was 0.18%. (2).Lp(a) levels did not display any changes significantly after sera stored at -25 ℃ for 310 days or twice re-thawed. (3). There was highly correlation between levels of Lp(a) in sera and in plasma (r=0.974, P<0.001, n=60). (4).The mean level of Lp(a) in 140 healthy persons is 204.3±126.4mg/L, and its values distribution show positive skewness which can be changed into normality with the data transformation of logarithmic or square root.II. The changes of serum lipoprotein(a) levels in cases of coronary heart diseaseIt were studied that changes of serum lipoprotpin(a) [Lp...
