| Objective: To observe the curative effect of Fuzhengheji and Fuzheng methods on non-small cell carcinoma of lung and to explore its partial mechanism.Methods: Above the prophase study, and research on the curative effect of Fuzhengheji on non-small cell carcinoma of lung and its anti-metastasis mechanism asthe incisive point , this article emphasized the observation of toxic side reaction of chemotherapy, existing quality, distal metastasis rate etc indexes. 72 cases were randomly divided into three groups (30 cases treated with simple chemotherapy, 30 cases treated with Fuzhengheji combined with chemotherapy and 12 cases treated with Zhenqifuzheng capsule), and during two courses, clinical indexes ( blood routine examination, routine urine examination, liver and kidney function), tumor body effect .symptoms of Traditional Chinese Medcine(TCM), immunology function, bad reaction of chemotherapy, existing quality, distal metastasis, adverse effects of Chinese herbs were observed. Fuzhengheji group, Zhenqi group, chemotherapy group, chemotherapy with Fuzhengheji group, model group were established by replicating metastatic LA795 model and the weight of tumor, lung metastasis rate were observed by immunohistochemical method with image analysis technique, meanwhile changes of expression of mutant gene P53 and adherent factor CD44 were observed.Results: Fuzhengheji has three functions by clinical results: 1. Effects of attenuation and synergy. Fuzhengheji can attenuate toxics and enhance curative effect of chemotherapy, and could markedly decrease the injury of marrow hematopoietic function, protect the liver and kidney immunology function, lessen bad effect of chemotherapy obviously, improve the clinical symptoms, the tolerance of patients to chemotherapy was enhancedand the curative effects was improved through this mechanism . CR+RP and NC in the combined group were higher than tha~ of chemotherapy group, and the effects were similar to that of Zhenqifuzheng group.2. Improvement of life quality. Fuzhengheji can improve the life quality of non-small cell carcinoma of lung from different angle and different levels . KBS scales, QLQ-C30 life quality questionnaire and LCI3 lung cancer scale in the combined group were better than that of chemotherapy group. Its effects were similar to that of Zhenqifuzheng capsule group.3. Anti-metastasis function. Fuzhengheji could decrease the distal metastasis rate, indicating it has certain an-;i~metastasis effect. Animal experiment iesults showed: tumor weight of mice in Fuzhengheji group, Zhenqi group and chemotherapy group was lower than that of model group, the weight in the combined group was lower than that of chemotherapy group. The metastasis rate in Fuzhengheji group, and the combined group was decreased, while the effect of anti-metastasis was the be.st in the combined group. The expressions of mutant gene P53 and adherent factor CD?were descended in Fuzhengheji group, Zhenqi group , chemotherapy group and combined group, the effect in Fuzhengheji group, Z henqi group and chemotherapy group was simi lar, but the effect was the most obviously in the combined group. Decreasing the expression of mutant gene P53 and adherent factor CD44 maybe related with the mechanism of anti-metastasis.Conclusion: Fuzhengheji posses the function of attenuation and synergy, improvement of life quality, inhibiting from metastasis. Its clinical effect has homologous biological response modifier function. The mechanism of anti-metastasis relates to the effects of cescending the expression of mutant gene P53 and adherent factor CD41.
