By taking the farmlands of Wuchuan county and Zhaohe grassland in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as the study object, the paper studied the anti-wind erosion capabilities of four kinds of typical soil surfaces: non-degenerated grassland, degenerated grassland, traditional tillage farmland and conservation tillage farmland. The study is processed by the combination way of field fixed position measurement and laboratory analysis, and by taking use of a movable wind erosion tunnel. In the meantime of the study, the anti-wind erosion mechanism of the farmland with strip intercropping of wheat and potato was studied by using the portable wind speed and direction instrument and the movable wind erosion tunnel. Based on tests, the paper also assessed the anti-wind erosion capabilities of soil by different utilization ways, and put forward the optimum utilization ways of preventing soil from wind erosion and some technical indexes.The main conclusions are as below:1.The variation of soil wind erosion amount have a certain regulation with height for four typical soil surfaces. The soil wind erosion amount for non-degenerated grassland, degenerated grassland and traditional tillage farmland change with height by following the exponential function law, and that for conservation tillage farmland changes with height by appearing random characteristics. As the result of the co-action of the erect stubble and vegetation cover, The position that the maximum soil wind erosion amount for conservation tillage farmland measured by sand sampler located in the height range of 18-40cm.2.The results of former address tests by the movable wind erosion tunnel for four typical soil surfaces are in accord with that predicted by wind erosion equation. The sequence for anti-wind erosion capability is as follows: non-degenerated grasslandï¹¥conservation tillage farmlandï¹¥degenerated grasslandï¹¥traditional tillage farmland. This shows that the optimum ways of soil utilization in the cross region between farmland and grassland in Yinshan Mountain area are non-degenerated grassland and conservation tillage...
