This paper is accomplished on the basis of studies of Key Scientific and Technological Project, the forecasting and evaluation of soil salinization and groundwater environment in Inner Mogolia Luanjing Irrigation Area. As irrigation can often cause soil sanilization with a mass of farmland dilapidated and serve environmental problems, this paper studies the transforming of four forms of waters (irrigation water, surface water, soil water and groundwater), laws of water and salinity movement, the effect of water on soil salinization under the condition of irrigation, etc.This paper firstly analyses the hydrogeologic conditions of irrigated areas and hydrogeologic characteristics of unsaturated zones systematically and also generalizes a hydraulic conceptional model. A lot of irrigation infiltration tests have been done in classical areas and pumping tests in Hydraulic Parameters lacking areas. Then Hydraulic Parameters can be determined through irrigation infiltration tests. The numerical simulation model was built on the data of groundwater level, groundwater quality and soil moisture, soil salinity (or electrical conductivity), water potential and indoor simulation testes.The recharge process of irrigation to deep burial groundwater in arid region has been thoroughly investigated. The amount of water applied to groundwater has been determined in different geologic structures and different irrigation systems. Quantificational analysis and validation can be carried out using groundwater numerical simulation model.Precipitation, evaporation and transpiration in this area have been analyzed by using time series analysis.
