According to the principle of grassland agroecology and animal nutrition adjusting, we determined the aboveground biomass and solar energy conversion rate of oat grassland and oat +vetch grassland The chemical components of different herbage(oat hay oat+vetch hay oat baled silage . oat+vetch baled silage)were analysized, the quality of oat baled silage and baled oat+vetch silage was evaluated.Based on five experiments of digestion and metabolism, maximum DMI(dry matter intake),feeding, comparative slaughting, several nutritive value and energy value parameters of four types of herbage and oat+vetch hay with I SOg and 300g mixed concentrate were determined. The results show that aboveground net primary productivity of oat and oat+vetch during the growing period were 18874.69 KJ/m2 and 21204.79 [jIm2 , the energy conversion rate can reach 1.095% and 1.229% respectively. Two type of baled silage have almost the some chemical components with their fresh herbage, the baled silage quality are satisfactory.Compared with oat hay and oat+vetch hay, crude protein of oat baled silage and oat+vetch baled silage increased by 34.6%and 39.2% while CF decreased by 6.0% and 12.3% respectively. Oat+vetch baled silage has significantly(P
