Metal Storm Weapon(MSW) was paid much more attention by many strong military countries in the world when it came into the world . MSW as a new concept weapon by using principle of launch in series which has super-high firing frequency can launch a lot of projectiles in very short time and can form multilayer projectile barrage in the sky which can hold up cruise missile , tactical missile , accurate guided bomb unit, antiship missile and attack plane effectively . MSW will become a short range edge tool of aerial defence and anti-missile which play an important role in the unborn war.MSW has own complex characteristic which is different with ordinary barrel weapon .This complex characteristic make launch process of MSW is more diffuclt than ordinary barrel weapon . Absence of dynamic design means , ballistic consistency , repetitious increase for recoil force and enactment for reasonable firing frequency and firing interval have become problem which must be solved urgently in the design , manufacture and development for MSW.The paper is one of main production for certain beforehand study project of General Armament Department . Launch dynamics of MSW is deeply study based on transfer matrix method of multibody system. Launch dynamical model of multi-rigid-flexible system is established and all sorts of factors included projectiles ,gun , propellant and environment are considered . Parts transfer equation, parts transfer matrix and system characteristic equation are established and fast calculation problem for natural vibration characteristic of MSW is solved . Interior ballistic model for MSW is established and interior ballistic performance in all sorts of firing frequency is computed . Body dynamical equation of MSW , launch dynamical equation of projectile and force expression are presented . System augmented eigenvector and orthogonality of system augmented eigenvector for MSW is constructed and accurate analysis of dynamical response is realized . Simulation code of launch and flight for MSW is written by using Monte Carlo method and vibration characteristics , dynamical response , projectiles motion in gun tube , initial disturbance , external ballistic and firing dispersion are obtained by simulation . Quantitative relation between dynamical performance and system parameter are established . Dependence analysis between system parameter and firing dispersion is carried out . Study of the paper can provide theory foundation and technology support for dynamical design , performance evaluation and performance improvement of MSW.
