After analyzing the impacting principle of all kinds of hydraulic rock drills and various structures of portable hydraulic rock drill, a new structure of portable independent rotary hydraulic rock drill, YYT-30 portable independent rotary hydraulic rock drill, is put forward in the dissertation, and made in reality. It will become main style in medium and small-scale mines and general engineering machines in our country, which will replace traditional legged pneumatic rock drill hopefully.The motion law of impact mechanism in hydraulic rock drill is very complicated, which is very difficult to be described with a precise mathematical model. According to different hypothesis conditions, three sorts of mathematical models are put forward to describe the motion law of the hydraulic impact mechanism. A series of formulae describing the piston's kinematic parameter expression of linear model and variational acceleration model based on the hydraulic impact mechanism with no constant-pressurized chamber are derived, and the nonlinear mathematical model of general hydraulic impact mechanism is established.The routine design theory of the hydraulic impact mechamism with no constant-pressurized chamber is established. A series of formulae, which denote the kinematic parameters with the abstract design variable a , are derived according to the three-staged analysis method of the piston motion. Based on it, the design method about the hydraulic impact mechamism is studied systematically, and the formulae of all important structural parameters are derived.According to the simplified structural model of the hydraulic impact mechamism with no constant-pressurized chamber, the working course of the impact mechamism is analyzed. The mathematical models of the impact mechamism in every working state are established on basis of general nonlinear mathematical model. The dynamical simulation of the hydraulic impact mechamism is performed with software which is programmed with Visual Basic.
