As a necessary reference and base for making decisions and plans in aerospace domain, the technique of fault diagnosis plays an important role in ensuring the safety and reliability of satellite. With the increasing growth of satellite employments, the probability for the appearance of un-presuppose faults is increasing. Therefore, its fault detection and isolation has received considerable of attention in latest years. The aim of this dissertation research is focused on the Pre-Research Defense Projects of"Research on longevous service and high reliability of Satellite"of the National tenth-five-year plan. For improving the capability of fault diagnosis for un-presuppose faults, we propose a new fault reconstruction technique which suits to satellite attitude control system and four novel techniques under this frame work is investigated in this dissertation. The main idea of this paper is fault detection and estimation for system that affected by faults. The difference between it and traditional observer-based fault diagnosis is that producing residues and analyzing it to fault diagnosis is not its main aim. It is straightforward to build estimator to detect whether faults appear and its magnitude. For the character of the faults and the location of the faults appeared this paper proposes four corresponding techniques. On the background of jet control system, this paper studies on actuators affected by the fast-changed faults, and systematically and deep analyzed the process of producing residues that disturbed by unknown inputs. As its limitation of unknown input observer-based fault diagnosis, this paper proposed unknown input decoupled fast-changed fault reconstruction. This method is availability for fault diagnosis with unknown inputs, especially for actuators affected by fast-changed faults.Still on the background of jet control system, this paper studies on sensors affected by the fast-changed faults. For gyroscope it analyses the qualification of fault in detail, and gives its fault models. This paper researched on the fast-changed fault reconstruction based on right eigenstructure assignment. It is helpful supplement for left eigenstructure assignment. As fault diagnosis using left eigenstructure assignment is traditional technique, it is expansion for fault reconstruction using right eigenstructure assignment in satellite fault diagnosis.
