Stochastic medium model belongs to in-continuous medium theory. Underground mine, Open-pit slope, and the slope formed by the excavations in the construction of railway, highway, water-power, etc., are important excavation project that human utilize nature.To self-weight stress mine, including a large part of coal mines and part of other kind of mines, the accuracy and reliability that use stochastic medium theory to conduct the ground surface movement and deformation prediction are doubtless.However, for most of metal mines and a part of other ones, whose mine developing conditions are always related to the remainder conformation stress, when the remainder conformation stress of the mine area become significant, the shape of the surface sinking basin will be altered and the extend of sinking will be expanded sharply, and in some cases the perpendicular well and the industry square will fall into the destroyed area, which may render the future mining impossible. Because the ground surface movement and deformation, caused by mine exploring, have the characteristic of movement range enlarging while subsidence coefficient decreasing, when using stochastic medium theory, we should always relate it with the conformation stress and thus improve it, when the avalanche method were adopted, the caused deformation of the surface caving in and the original stress field also conform to certain law, and the paper studied the method to solve it with relative subsidence residence.As to the excavation of the slope, if there are not the cases such as particular direction conformation weak side, rock crack generate randomly or slope of open-pit mine of soft rock effloresced notably, and the slope being stable, but adjacent industry and civilian construction suffering obviously form the impairing of excavation even destroyed , It is of the same importance for engineering to study the movement and deformation law influenced by the pit excavation with stochastic medium theory.Foundation pits generally gather at the field with large population and construction density and small spatial scale .The adjacent ground surface movement and deformation caused by around rock body omitting water and lateral wall losing cross bolster, which attribute to foundationpit excavation, is a new task in the process of quick urbanization in China.Stochastic medium model can be used to resolve such kind of task, During the construction of cities with sustainable development capability, underground project ,in contrast to ground project ,is always difficult to be solved quantitatively by enclosed analytical formulator , due to the complexity of rock medium .Using stochastic medium theory statistical model to study the surface movement and deformation law caused by excavation will also be very powerful and meaningful for the exploitation and environment protection of city underground project.With the developments of the measurements based on undergroundcave wall and adjacent rock's convergence-displacement and theconstructional technical instructed by the anti-analysis, which had been applied successfully in many projects such as railway, highway, mine and so on, the monitoring of excavation displacement is attracting more and more attention, and forms an inseparable part of the construction and designation of engineering excavation. According to the characteristic of excavation, determining appropriate monitoring precision in terms of around environment and exploring new monitoring techniques are also important research topic in the practice of excavation.This paper systematically studied the applications of discussed stochastic medium theory in self-weight stress mining ground, conformation mining ground ,open pit slop ,city foundation pit slope, underground tunnel , underground space's tunneling. This expands the application field of stochastic medium theory calculation formula is developed and some practical examples are presented.
