This paper has established the EGD air-cooled two-stroke (2T) gasoline engine oils detergency evaluating engine bench and method referring to the ISO, JASO standards, and examine them for validity and reliability to evaluate 2T oils. Results show: detergency indexes have great discrepancies for different quality levels' oils; and test data prove that they are equivalent with foreign EGD evaluating equipment and method which reside in the international leading level.This paper has initially established the biodegradability evaluating method of lubricants referring to Europe CEC standard. Test Results have excellent repeatability and equivalence contrast with overseas data by similar methods, and convenience, credibility, supple an inland gay.The researches for base oils of biodegradable 2T oil show: PIB and higher viscosity tri-methylol-propane-ester(TMP) mixed with lower viscosity TMP, with lower viscosity ingredient increase, Mixed oil's viscosity decrease, abrasion quantum increase, viscosity index increase at the beginning and decrease later, display apex-shape. Mixed ester what is made up of various esters has better high/low-temperature lubricity. High viscosity PAO and mineral oils do not fit biodegradable 2T oils because of worse performance and lower biodegradability. Thinner can improve viscosity index, and debase high/low-temperature viscosity, and increase abrasion quantum, and decrease flash point. The researches for additives of biodegradable 2T oil show: ash metallic detergents deteriorate the detergency of biodegradable 2T oils. Non-ash detergent-dispersant additives can availably improve 2T oils' high-temperature detergency, but there is a best point of performance/cost ratio. Detergents with equivalent detergency can decrease cost and improve applicability after mixed them. Medium/high-alkali anti-stuck-ring additives can improve anti-stuck-ring capability and detergency preferably, and mixed-using improve oils' applicability, too. Anti-ware additives, anti-oxygen additives and pour point depressants have no influence on detergency.This paper has initially developed the "Sample B" biodegradable 2T oil, and it reaches six engine evaluating indexes and two physics-chemistry indexes regulated by ISO EGD Standard. Moreover, it attributes to innocuous matter by toxicity evaluating, and biodegradability is higher than homemade 2T oil which has best biodegradability, and reside in the inland leading level. It is a kind of high performance EGD biodegradable 2T oil.This paper has inspected anti-ware additives' influence on the lubricity of EGD biodegradability 2T oils. Anti-ware additives can remarkably decrease abrasion quantum of 2T oils, but have no practical effect in given engine test conditions, so their effects have no relativity between cool-state and hot-state.This paper contrasts EGE 2T oils' reference oil (RL 203) with EGD biodegradable 2T oils by EGD 2T oils' detergency and lubricity evaluating equipment and method. Results show: EGD biodegradable 2T oil has reach and exceed EGE grade 2T oils what reside in the international leading level.
