The Finite Volume Method (FVM) is an important numerical method to compute differential equation, which is widely used in engineering technology project, especially in hydrodynamics, heat transfer and so on, because of its definite physical meaning and simple mathematic process. The basic theories of hydromechanics and thermodynamics in my dissertation are applied in analyzing the application of finite volume method in heat transfer according to the law of conservation of energy and fourier law, the mathematics equations of heat transfer are educed by FVM, a new finite volume algorithm is proposed. The basic difference between the new finite volume algorithm and others is that the result consulted from the new algorithm is totally the same with finite element method which is based on variational principle. Therefore the essence relation between them is built. Goaf spontaneous combustion accounted for 60%, the influence factors are so many and the relationships among them are complex, so it is difficult to do the numerical simulation. The dissertation uses the following these basic theories of hydromechanics, dynamic of fluids through porous media, ventilation of mine theory, mass transfer, thermodynamics, heat transfer and so on. And it is on the basic of association with field investigation, theory analysis, lab experiment and numerical simulation, adopts the new finite volume algorithm to built the mathematical model of spontaneous combustion in goaf on moving coordinate. And then, the simulation soft of the system of spontaneous combustion in goaf on moving coordinate is present by the computer language of VB. At last the distribution map of pressure, velocity of flow, oxygen density and temperature in goaf are drawde making use of the tecplot9.0 software。The influences of important effects on spontaneous combustion in goaf are put forward which are choised by the method of principal component analysis. The results are of theritical and practical significance to prevent spontaneous combustion in goaf.
