The Study Of The Theory And Practice On Marine Special Reserve In Our Country

As a type of marine protected areas, marine special reserves are established on the general principle of sustainable development with an objective of reasonable exploitation resources and protection of marine environment. The establishment of marine special reserves in China is also a reflection of the increasing environmental protection consciousness of people. As one type of marine protected areas, marine special reserve has its'compatibility, peculiarity and unsubstitutivity. From every angle, the establishment and management of marine special preserve is a long term and arduous task for our government, because it is not only involved the enforcement of state's law, regulations and policies but also closely related to the interests of local governments and people. This paper analyzes the definition and necessity of marine special reserves, and puts foreword existing problems and countermeasures.
