Cell is the basic unit of life activities. The trafficking of molecules and membranes within cells is a prerequisite for all aspects of cellular functions, especially cellular proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Therefore, they play an important role in the individual's growth, development, aging, death and other physiological and pathological processes. We have analyzed the structure and function of PNAS-4 gene, and our results showed that PNAS-4 was related to the protein trafficking.1. The core promoter of PNAS-4 gene included 94nt.2. The subcellular localization of PNAS-4 is in endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus and vesicles.3. The PNAS-4 might play an important role on the process of cellular proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.4. The PNAS-4 was closely linked to the ADSS and the CYCSP5 gene.5. ADSS genes was associated with energy metabolism.6. 14 SNPs were detected in the partial genomic DNA sequence of porcine PNAS-4 gene, and 3 haplotypes were detected.
