Landslide, a common natural disaster in mountainous area, has close relationship with rainfall. Rainfal is a key factor inducing landslide sometimes. With the development of economy, the loss caused by landslide becomes larger. So warning study for rainfall-induced landslide and risk assessment of landslide hazard are now regarded highly. Establishing a scientific, prefect and practical warning system is the demand of society development, which will provide efficient and exact warning information for government and public, reduce casualties and economic losses caused by rainstorm-induced landslide effectively, and represent the principle of people oriented advocated by current society. At the same time, with high-speed development of Internet and WEBGIS technology, they present a convenient and efficient platform with powerful function for warning study of landslide hazard and release of warning information. So developing a prediction and warning system for landslide hazard based on WEBGIS and real-time rainfall has a widely applied prospect.Combining a key science and technology project in Zhejiang Province, Research of Prediction and Warning System on Sudden Geo-hazard and illustrative applications in Zhejiang Province, the paper develops its research. Study on dynamic risk prediction and warning and risk management for landslide hazard based on WEBGIS is proceeding. On the basis of attaining risk prediction map (static) of landslide hazard, risk warning (dynamic) is developed by combining regional real-time rainfall data. According to the warning result and considering the acceptable risk criterion, risk management measure is presented. Then warning information and management measures are delivered by Internet, which provides timely and reliable information for administrative agencies regarding to landslide hazard preventions.In term of study thread, based on GIS technology, Information model and logical regression model are applied to develop spatial prediction research on landslide hazard. And the landslide hazard zonation map obtained by the above research can be base information for risk prediction and real-time warning. What's more, the relationship between regional landslide hazard and different rainfall factors is defined by correlation analysis. We can both use the spatial prediction results and rainfall hazard results to do research about forecast modal coupled with geological condition and weather, which provides sufficient theoretical basis for the warning of regional landslide hazards. In this paper, landslide vulnerability and risk prediction study is based on sufficient research on characteristics assessment of the elements at risk of studied area, which makes the warning for regional landslide hazards have more purposiveness and more availability.
