The baculovirus system is a newly developed eukaryotic expression system , which provides all the posttranslational modification for expressional products, including disulfide bond formation, glycosylation, phosphorylation and signal sequence cleavage. It can not only produce large weight proteins but also make it possible for oligomeration as long as two or more genes are expressed at the same time. It proved useful in offering large quantities of proteins with biological activities under the control of the strong polh promoter.This study was intended to express hBMP2 and 3 in this system. The cDNA encoding the whole length of hBMP2 and 3 were separately cloned into transfer vectors and then transfected with linearized baculovirus DNAs in Sf9 cells .
