Applications of high and new technology in geosciences make it capable to study dynamically the structure and movements of the earth system in three-dimensional space. Since theoretical studies of geosciences have a steady groundwork, the research of all spheric layerss of the earth has been promoted greatly from qualitative to quantitative manners, from local scales re to global scales r, from isotropy to anisotropy, and from liner to non-liner features. The appearance of new exploration technology provided guarantee for plenty of data while theoretical studies of geosciences raise more and higher demands for the development and application of new technology. Acquisition, storage, processing and analysis of vast observational data bring forward new requirements to hardware and software for data information system networks, and it becomes one of basic work for current geoscience research. The modern geodesy has entered into a new stage marked by the development of space geodesy. Its focal points have shifted from engineering applications to basic research. However, observational technology is developing faster than the theoretical research of earth sciences. This thesis makes an attempt to introduce new algorithms from mathematical mechanics to establish new present-day block movement models, and perform theoretical research work on geodynamics, so that the observation technology can serve better for theoretical research of geoscience, and to find a new way for prediction of general trends of earthquakes. The author also hopes the results can be useful for studies of mechanisms of large earthquakes and continental dynamics. This thesis is based on integrated usage of multi-disciplinary geosciences inclduding space-geodesy, dynamic geodesy, geology and geophysics. By introducing a new algorithm of mathematical mechanics - Discontinuous Deformation Analysis (DDA), and combining mass of space-geodesy observational data with some results from geology and geophysics, this work establishes a tectonic block movement and deformation model with explicit mechanical meaning. Then it analyses kinetic characters of the tectonic block system movement at different levels and different scales, and describes both the kinematics mechanism and the amplitude of the tectonic block system. A new method is suggested to establish quantitative models for current crustal motions and deformation of tectonic systems. Furthermore, this thesis analyses the characters of the current crustal movement and tectonic stress field in the southern Tianshan Mountains area, and performs a simulation research of earthquake mechanism of the Jiashi major earthquakes.
