All the living activities are produced from series of complex transductive and regulatory processes of information, which are the basis of cell behaviors. The first messengers—the extracellular signals, the second messengers, the third messengers -transcription factors, the target genes and the interactions between proteins, between proteins and DNA regulatory sequences, via signal transductive pathways of gene expression, form the transductive network of gene regulation information (TNGRI), which is the core corporation of the stereo network in the cells. The function of the entire cell is sustaining dynamically stable states of the entire stereo network, and the development and the differentiation according to the inner program, and adaption to the enviroment through modification in structure and function, under the control of the TNGRI.The genesis and development of the diseases are close related to the entire TNGRI. To profoundly understand the cell behaviors, it is first to make a clear-cut to all the genes in the cell---the genome. The genomic research plays a great role in pushing the cloning and the identifing all the genes in the cell. The functional genomic research include the studies of the genome, the transcrptome, the proteome and the metabolome. The functional genomics is to analyze all the molecules and all the interactions between them; to identify the reaction patterns and the changing rules of every functional module; and to make clear all the interactions and the reactions between and among them. In other words, it is to define all the nodal points and the links in the stereo network of the cell, and to identify the basic structure of the network, as the basis of understanding and reconstructing the function of the cell. The interaction between DNA and protein is one of important bases of TNGRI. Coordinated gene expression and highly ordered structure of genome result from the interactions between DNA and proteins. So the cell presents ordered and self-organizing behaviors, such as the division and proliferation, the differentiation and the apoptosis, and the individually ordered development. The present studies indicate that the interactions between trans-acting factors and corresponding DNA cis-acting elements are the basis of chromatin remodeling and gene transcription regulation. So it is very important to develop new strategy and to establish efficient...
