The analysis and research about Tanlu Faulted Zone controlling the generation, evolution, sedimentary and hydrocarbon geological conditions of Hefei Basin is based on the information from sedimentary and hydrocarbon geological conditions of Tanlu Faulted Zone and Hefei Basin. Many kinds of methods such as structural geology, sedimentary petrography, depositional setting and sedimentary facies, sequence stratigraphy, hydrocarbon geology, basinal thermal history, geochemistry, geophysics, geosciences section and so on, are applied in the research.The results of the research are shown as follows:a) Tanlu Faulted Zone was generated from collision between Huabei Plate and Huanan Plate. Synorogenesis once happened, resulted from foreland deformation and sedimentary on both sides of Tanlu Faulted Zone.b) Tanlu Faulted Zone on the east edge of Hefei Basin has experienced the evolution history from strike-slip, extending to reverse thrust, while strike-slip flexural basin, fault basin and reverse thrust dying-out once happened in the east of Hefei Basin.c)Tanlu Faulted Zone has experienced two periods of left-lateral movement, in which, one is left-hand strike-slip movement, happened in mountain building period between Huabei Plate and Huanan Plate before 197.7±1.7Ma (in the early of Early Jurassic), showing intracontinental transform fault. And the other is large scale of lateral movement in Early Cretaceous. 550km of left-lateral offset between Dabie and Sulu Mountain building zone is just the result of two lateral movements in Tanlu Faulted Zone.d) Controlled by Tanlu Faulted Zone on the periods of Jurassic foreland basin and Cretaceous-Paleogene System fault basin in Hefei Basin, compound pattern is shown in both foreland basin and fault basin.e) Tanlu Faulted Zone controlled greatly on stratigraphic-sedimentary, source rock development and distribution, generation-reservoir-cap rock combination of Hefei Basin.f) In Hefei Basin, on one hand, the geologic condition of Daqiao Sag is favorable, and Shucheng Sag and Dingyuan Subsag are potential in exploration. On the other hand, the source rock conditions of Feidong Sag, Dingji Sag Below Cretaceous and Paleogene System are to be defined in the future. The exploration in other areas has great difficulty and large risk. Above discussion is the direction to the exploration of Hefei Basin.
