Research On High Resolution Sequence Stratigraphy And Sedimentary Models Of Shanxi Formation In The Northeastern Part Of Ordos Basin

Ordos basin with profuse coal, petroleum, natural gas and others mineral resources creates the comprehensiveness notice of earthling, and becomes of studying hotspots for China and foreign countries geologist. Late years, having found commercial value of large-middle type gas pools in the late Palaeozoic Era, which have exhibited a very good foreground for gas exploring and exploitation. In the east of this basin, it has been found much gas showed wells, which has gain quantitative industry gas flow wells, especially the new assessment invigorative harvest, and bode that the east of the Ordos basin possess major exploring potential. Through many years of the gas exploration study, it has made the break-through. But these are many problems in the northeastern of this basin, such as complicated geological conditions, the plane distribution of potential sedimentary facies zone, the vertical and horizontal distribution of reservoir, the lithology feature and diagenetic evolution history of reservoir, the exploration idea, method and technology to different feature of sedimentary facies zone, which have increased greatly the degree of difficulty and risk of exploration. The present research level still can't meet the need of exploration: â‘ it indicates that the quartz sandstone of thick facies zone is high-efficient reservoir, which isn't known clearly about forming conditions and controlling factors so as to influence the prediction of the high-efficient sand in the late Palaeozoic Era; â‘¡many geologists have different views about the division scheme of sequence stratigraphy, which is at least 3 or up to 28 at most; â‘¢it has various views about sedimentary facies and sedimentary environment, such as marine-continental alternation facies, marine-continental transition facies(delta system), continental facies(alleviation fluvial system),which cause difference in sand distribution and sand layer compared each other, thus the difficulty of the prediction of high-efficient sand and the exploration idea.Ordos basin, whose basis is steady and the tectonic movement doesn't develop, is the part of craton basin of North China. The extent of oil and gas accumulation is controlled by sedimentary facies and depositional sequence.
