Based on key project supported by the National Science Foundation of China and the survey for the land and resources project supported by Ministry of Land and Resources of China, this paper is focused on the scientific and technical problem about data management, integration and analysis for basic and thematic data of ground fissures and land subsidence disaster. Creative achievement is being made on the construction of spatial database, geographic information system development, the ground fissures spatial surface fitting, stratigraphic 3D model and the spatial distribution characteristics of ground fissures. A series key technical problems has been solved, which is about the research and application of ground fissures and land subsidence disaster, provide reliable data support and information ensure for regional ground fissures and land subsidence disaster prevention and control.Taking ground fissures and land subsidence disaster management information system of Xian for instance, this paper use modern information theory and technology, survey and edit all kinds of spatial and attributive data of Fenwei basin extensively, especially Xian region. The core problems and key technology are investigated at every point, which relate to ground fissure and land subsidence disaster management information system development and application.Firstly, create and complete a spatial database of ground fissure and land subsidence hazards.based on standardized of Xian, its design of layer classification and information coding in it. Among them, three-tier model structure of spatial database designed fellows as:1. it is spatial database conceptual model which is expressed by spatial E-R diagram;2. it is spatial database logical model, based on object-oriented Geodatabase;3. it is spatial database actual physical model of storage, access, constraint, efficiency, independence.Secondly, using GIS secondary development and ArcGIS Engine 9.3, regional ground fissures and land subsidence disaster management information system is established, which is characterized by its unification of advancement and practicality, coordination with reliability and openness, balance of basic and thematic data management, analysis and application.Thirdly, a 3D Geo-object model of ground fissures and stratigraphic is built by the means and technology of 3D model:1. it is a ground fissures digital curved surface, characterized by suberect and continuous spatial distribution, which is based on spatial location data of ground fissures, inclination constraint and TIN technology;2. it is the digital stratigraphic 3D model of Xian core area, based on the sample drilling data and Multipatch technology, in which exacted computation can be performed;3. it is this 3D model can be cutted in any angle in the same environment, every digital three-dimensional feature(the ground fissures, stratigraphic, subway, drilling and so on) can be integrated and displayed.Finally, based on the traditional fractal dimension theory, put forward a calculation model so called the revised formal for curve fractal dimension, study further the spatial distribution of Xian ground fissures, Weihe River of Xian, Lintong-Xian fracture and land subsidence of Xian, and then determined the spatial relationship among them.
