Retrospective Analysis Of Jiedu Huayu Shengjin Prescription In The Treatment Of Sjögren's Syndrome With Yin Deficiency And Heat Toxicity Syndrom

Purpose:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Jiedu Huayu Shengjin Decoction on yin deficiency and heat-toxic primary Sj?gren’s syndrome by retrospective analysis,for providing clinical data and theoretical basis for TCM treatment of the Sj?gren’s syndrome.Material and method:To collect the cases of yin deficiency and heat-toxic Sj?gren’s syndrome from October 2020 to September 2022 who saw a doctor in the rheumatism immunity ehabilitation branch,rheumatism immunity branch,and the Famous Doctor Alley the Affiliated Hospital of Liao Ning University of Chinese Medicine.Finally,33 cases were treated with mere western medicine as a control group,and 36 cases were treated with mere western medicine combined with Jiedu Huayu Shengjin Decoction as a treatment group,totally 69 cases.Both groups of patients were treated with a continuous course(28 days).Compared the TCM symptom score,disease activity index,ESR,CRP,WBC,RBC,PLT,HGB,ALT,AST,UREA,CREA between the treatment group and the control group to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Jiedu Huayu Shengjin Decoction in the treatment of yin deficiency and heat-toxic Sj?gren’s syndrome.Results:1.There were no obvious differences in age,course and sex between the control group and the treatment group,which were comparable.2.The total effective rate: As to the treatment group,the total effective rate was 64.5%,and that of the control group was 35.1%.Between two groups,there was a statistical difference(P<0.05),which prompted the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.3.TCM syndrome integral: After treatment,the total scores of TCM symptoms of both groups decreased obviously,with significant differences(P<0.05).And between two groups there was an obvious difference(P<0.05)compared with before.That means the treatment group was more effective than the control group.4.The TCM symptom scores: The scores of TCM symptoms of swollen,painful gums,dry mouth,dry eyes in two groups were lower after treatment.There was a significant difference compared with before treatment additionally(P<0.05).As for the treatment group,the TCM symptom scores of rhinodry nasal dryness were lower than before.As well,the difference was significantly compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).In reducing dry mouth and dry eye scores,the treatment group was statistically significance(P<0.05).5.ESSDAI: After treatment,there was a difference in ESSDAI between the two groups(P<0.05),as also,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).6.Laboratory indexes: Compared with before,the levels of CRP and ESR were obviously lower(P<0.05)in both groups.As to CRP,there was no clear difference between the two groups(P>0.05).As to ESR,there was different from the pre-treatment additionally(P<0.05).And the levels of Immune globulins(including Ig A,Ig G and Ig M)between the two groups were no significant differences(P>0.05).7.Safety Index: After treatment,the safety observation indexes(WBC,RBC,PLT,HGB,ALT,AST,UREA,CREA)of both groups were not significantly different(P>0.05).Conclusion:Jiedu Huayu Shengjin Decoction combined with regular Western medicine treatments aren’t only able to improve the clinical symptoms significantly,such as dry eyes,dry mouth,dry nose,swollen and painful gums,dry stool and other clinical symptoms in cases of yin deficiency and heat-toxic Sjogren’s syndrome and stasis,and reduce ESR levels,but the clinical efficacy is also better than treatment of mere Western medicine,it’s safe.
