Clinical Study On Bushen Huatan Decoction In The Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome With Insulin Resistance And Kidney Deficiency And Phlegm-dampness Syndrom

Objective: The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of Bushenhuatan Decoction on sex hormone levels,body mass index,menstrual cycle,glucose and lipid metabolism and improvement of TCM symptoms.To discuss the clinical effect of Bushenhuatan Decoction on insulin resistance in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome with kidney deficiency syndrome of phlegm and dampness.Methods: From January 2022 to October 2022,60 cases of insulin resistance in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome with kidney deficiency syndrome of phlegm and dampness who came to the outpatient clinic of our hospital and met the inclusion criteria were divided into 30 test and control groups by simple randomization.The control group was treated with metformin,and the test group was treated with Bushenhuatan Decoction for 3 months.Main efficacy evaluation indicators: TCM symptom scores,basic sex hormones(FSH,LH,T,LH/FSH),fasting blood-glucose(FBG),Fasting insulin(FINS),Homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),and Body Mass Index(BMI).Both groups of patients can strictly follow the doctor’s advice on diet,exercise and total daily sleep time.The general conditions and clinical data of patients between the two groups were processed by statistical software,and the differences were not statistically significant,with comparability.Results: There was no statistical difference between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(p> 0.05),so the two groups were comparable.The results of the pre-and post-treatment comparison of the indicators in the two groups showed that the post-treatment was significantly better than before the treatment(P<0.05),suggesting that both groups had a therapeutic effect.Among them,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving menstruation,TCM syndrome score,BMI,LH,LH/FSH,T,FINS,and HOMA-IR,and there were significant difference(p <0.05).The overall efficacy of the treatment group was better than the control group(p <0.05).There were no significant difference between the two groups(p> 0.05)in BMI,FBG and FSH.Conclusion: Bushen Huatan Decoction has a significant effect on the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance,mainly in that it can effectively improve menstruation,chest tightness and other TCM syndrome,and reduce LH,T,LH/FSH,FINS and HOMA-IR.
