Purpose: To observe the clinical efficacy of Wuyin therapy in the treatment of Functional Constipation with liver depression and qi stagnation, optimize the treatment scheme of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of Functional Constipation, and provide reference value for the treatment of Functional Constipation with traditional Chinese medicine.Material and method: In this study,60 patients with Functional Constipation with stagnation of liver and qi were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group was treated with regular treatment(liver dredging and laxative formula, ear acupressing beans)and the observation group was treated with Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks and followed up at the end of treatment. The sdudy observed the total score and individual scores of TCM syndromes, the clinical rating scale CCS score of constipation patients, the PAC-QOL scale score of quality of life of constipation patients, the SAS score of anxiety self-assessment scale, and the follow-up results of the two groups befor and after treatment.Statistical analysis and comparison were carried out to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Wuyin therapy.Results:1.A total of 60 patients were enrolled in this study,30 in the control group and 30 in the observation group, with no shedding cases.2.The score of TCM syndromes: After treatment,The total score of TCM syndromes and each individual scores decreased in the two groups compared with those before treatment,P<0.05.In the comparison between the two groups, the P value of seven aspects namely and the frequecy of stool, stool properties, abdominal distension or abdominal pain, aggravation of incomplete discharge or difficulty, sagittal gas frequency or hiccup and depression and intestinal ringing,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. And the observation group is better than the control group in these seven aspects;P>0.05 for the comparison of symptoms of chest distension and stuffiness, indicating that there was no significant difference in the efficacy of the two groups in the symptoms of chest distension and stuffiness.3.The clinical rating scale CCS score of constipation patient: the CCS score of both groups decreased after treatment, while the CCS scores of the Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment group decreased especially after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment group is better than regular treatment group.4.The total score of PAC-QOL: the PAC-QOL score of both groups decreased after treatment, while the PAC-QOL scores of the Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment group decreased especially after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),indicating that the Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment group is better than regular treatment group.5.The total score of SAS: the SAS score of both groups decreased after treatment, while the SAS scores of the Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment group decreased especially after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),indicating that the Wuyin therapy plus regular treatment group is better than regular treatment group.6.Clinical efficacy: The total effective rate of observation group was 97%,and that in control group was 90%.The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).observation group was better than control group in improving TCM syndrome of constipation.7.The result of follow-up:After treatment,in the two groups decreased significantly compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05).and the observation group decreased more significantly than the control group in the total score of TCM syndromes and each individual scores,CCS points, and PAC-QOL points, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The observation group was superior to the control group in terms of long-term efficacy. The results were not statistically significant when comparing the SAS scores of the observation group compared to the control group at follow-up P =0.102>0.05,indicating that there was no significant difference in SAS scores between the two groups at follow-up.Conclusion:1.Wuyin therapy combined with routine therapy is effective in the treatment of functional constipation of liver depression and qi stagnation.2.Compared with simple routine treatment, wuyin therapy combined with routine therapy is more effective in improving TCM syndrome, clinical symptoms, quality of life and anxiety of patients with constipation.3.According to the follow-up results of one month after treatment, wuyin therapy combined with routine treatment is more effective than conventional therapy in improving TCM syndrome, clinical symptoms, quality of life and anxiety of patients with constipation.
