Purpose:To analyze the related factors of different TCM syndrome types of recurrent hyperthyroidism, and to study the distribution of TCM syndrome types of recurrent hyperthyroidism,to explore the relationship between TCM syndrome types of recurrent hyperthyroidism and physical and chemical indexes,TCM symptom integral, anxiety, sleep condition,so as to prevent the recurrence of hyperthyroidism,to provide a better basis for the treatment of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Material and method:In this study, patients with recurrent hyperthyroidism who met the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine were selected fr om the outpatient department of the Affiliated Hospital of the Liaoning University of Trad iti onal Chinese Medicine from September 2020 to December 2022,the basic information and p hysical and chemical examination results of 198 patients were collected, including sex, age, course of disease,Body mass index(BMI),Free triiodothyronin(FT3),Free triiodothy ronin(FT3),Free triiodothyronin(FT3),Free triiodothyronin(FT3),Free triiodothyronin(FT3),Free triiodothyronin(FT3),Free triiodothyronine(FT3),Free triiodothyronine(FT3),Free triiodothyronine(FT3)Free Thyroxine(FT4),Thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH),Thyroid-stimulating hormone Thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor auto-antibodies(TRAb),Glut amyl transpeptidase(GGT),Aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(A lt),Alkaline phosphatase phosphatase(Alp),White blood cell count(WBC),Neutrophil co unt(# Neut),physical signs(including tongue, pulse)and anxiety, sleep,TCM symptom scor es were queried and scored.According to the guiding principles of clinical research on new Chinese drugs: trial implementation and internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine,an d referring to the tutor clinical experience for many years,it can be divided into five TCM sy ndrome types: Qi stagnation and phlegm coagulation syndrome, liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome, excessive liver fire syndrome, heart and liver yin deficiency syndrome,qi and yin deficiency syndrome. After data collection, the data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0statistical software. The quantitative data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation((?)±s)The statistic data were compared byΧ2 test, the non-normal distribution was ex pre ssed by median(four-digit scores)[M(P25,P75)],the rank-sum test was used for comparison between the two groups, and the Spearman non-parametric rank-sum test was used for correla tion analysis Logistic regression analysis was used to record OR and 95% confidence interval, and to analyze the distribution of TCM syndrome types of recurrent hyperthyroidism and the correlation between TCM syndrome types and each factor.P<0.05 means there is a statistical difference,P<0.01 there is a significant statistical difference.Results:1.Comparison of general data: A total of 198 patients with recurrent hyperthyroidism were divided into five groups, the age distribution was heart-liver yin deficiency synd rome>liver-fire exuberance syndrome >qi-yin deficiency syndrome>Qi stagnation and phlegm coagula tion syndrome> liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome, the results showed signifi cant difference(P<0.01).2.The levels of FT4 and TRAB in qi-yin deficiency syndrome were the highest, there was significant difference(P<0.01).3.The symptom integral of heart-liver-yin deficiency syndrome was the highest, and that of qi-stagnation and phlegm-coagulation syndrome was the lowest. There was significant differ ence between the two groups(P<0.01).4.The SAS score of heart-liver Yin deficiency syndrome was the highest, the SAS score of qi-stagnation and phlegm-coagulation syndrome was the lowest, there was significant differ ence(P< 0.01),the ISI score of heart-liver Yin deficiency syndrome was the highest, the qi-st agnation and phlegm-coagulation syndrome was the lowest, the results showed significant difference(P <0.01).5.Spearman correlation analysis showed that the TCM syndrome type of recurrent hyperth yroidism was correlated with age,FT4,FT3,TCM symptom score,SAS and ISI(P<0.05).According to Spearman coefficient,TCM syndrome types were positively correlated with Ft4,FT3,TCM symptom score,SAS and TRAb.6.75 cases(37.88%)with deficiency of both qi and yin>38 cases(19.19%)with stag nation of liver-qi and deficiency of spleen = 38 cases(19.19%)with excessive liver-fire > 36 cases(18.18%)were syndrome of Qi stagnation and phlegm coagula tion>11 cases(5.56%)with deficiency of heart and liver-yin.7.Logistic regression analysis showed that FT4 was positively correlated with deficiency of both qi and yin,ISI and age were negatively correlated with stagnation of liver-qi and defici ency of spleen.Conclusion:1.The most common TCM syndrome type of recurrent hyperthyroidism is deficiency of both qi and Yin,followed by stagnation of liver-qi and deficiency of the spleen, and then by exces sive liver-fire.2.The higher the value of FT4 and TRAb,the higher the risk of the syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin.3.The patients with recurrent hyperthyroidism had higher scores of SAS and ISI,and the higher the ISI.4.In the TCM syndrome type of recurrent hyperthyroidism, the older the age,the lower the risk of liver depression and spleen deficiency.
