Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Radiation Dermatitis Of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma With Liangxue Huoxue Jiedu Decoctio

Objective:To Preliminarily observe the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of Liangxue Huoxue Jiedu Decoction in the treatment of radiation dermatitis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(blood heat and toxin).Methods:The 57 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiation dermatitis who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria were randomly divided into an observation group 28 and a control group 29 each.Both groups received routine care,while the control group received external use of Kangfuxin liquid.The observation group received oral administration of Liangxue Huoxue Jiedu decoction and Kangfuxin liquid.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks,and the changes in general condition before treatment,VAS score before and after treatment,level of radiation dermatitis,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,quality of life score,IL-6,CRP,and monitoring of adverse reactions(blood count,liver and kidney function,electrocardiogram,etc.)were compared.Result:(1)Before treatment: There was no statistically significant difference in general information(age,gender,BMI,and stage),VAS score,dermatitis grade,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,quality of life score,IL-6,and CRP between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).(2)After treatment: VAS: After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment,the observation group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks,the VAS scores of both groups of patients decreased compared to before treatment,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Dermatitis level: After 4 weeks of treatment,the observation group showed better improvement in dermatitis level than the control group,with a statistical difference(P<0.05).The effective rate of the observation group was96.42%,while the effective rate of the control group was 79.31%.There was a statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Score:After 4 weeks of treatment,the observation group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The TCM syndrome scores of both groups of patients decreased compared to before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The effective rate of improving traditional Chinese medicine symptoms in the observation group was 96.42%,while in the control group it was 79.31%.The observation group was higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Karnofsky score;After 4 weeks of treatment,the observation group showed a statistically significant increase compared to the control group,and both groups showed a statistically significant increase compared to before treatment(P<0.05).IL-6 and CRP: After 4 weeks of treatment,the observation group showed a statistically significant decrease compared to the control group(P<0.05),and both groups had a statistically significant decrease compared to before treatment(P<0.05).(3)Adverse reaction observation: Both groups did not show any abnormalities such as ALT,AST,creatinine,electrocardiogram,etc.and neither group had any significant adverse reactions.Conclusion: The combination of Liangxue Huoxue Jiedu decoction and external application of Kangfuxin Liquid can reduce pain,alleviate radiation skin damage,improve traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,improve quality of life,and lower IL-6 and CRP levels in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiation dermatitis.No obvious adverse reactions,with certain clinical application value.
