Objective:Using data mining methods, this study aims to summarize and analyze the prescription patterns of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and acupuncture for treating insomnia related to ischemic stroke, and present the findings through visualization. The goal is to provide reference information for clinical treatment of insomnia related to ischemic stroke in TCM.Methods:The literature and medical records related to the treatment of insomnia related to ischemic stroke in traditional Chinese medicine were retrieved from five databases including CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBM,PubMed,and the Gujin Medical Case Cloud platform. The information of herbal medicine and/or acupuncture prescriptions was extracted and standardized.A database was established, and descriptive analysis was performed on the data.Association rule analysis and cluster analysis were conducted using SPSS Modeler and SPSS Statistics,respectively.Result:(1)The frequently used herbal medicines included Poria,Licorice,Sour Date Seed,Chuanxiong, and Angelica. The most commonly used types of herbal medicine were tonics,blood-activating and stasis-removing medicines, and calming agents. The frequencies of warm, neutral, and cold medicinal properties were similar, with a predominant taste of sweetness and bitterness. The liver meridian was the most frequently involved meridian.(2)The closely associated herbal medicine combinations identified were:Chuanxiong-Safflower,Chuanxiong-Peach Kernel,Poria-Tangerine Peel, and so on.Cluster analysis of the frequently used herbal medicines resulted in the identification of five cluster patterns.(3)The commonly used acupoints included Shenmen,Baihui,Sanyinjiao,Shenting,Anmian, and Sishencong. The Governor Vessel meridian acupoints, extraordinary acupoints, and Bladder meridian acupoints were frequently used.Acupoints on the head and neck were the most commonly selected, and there were distinct characteristics in local acupoint selection.(4)The closely associated acupoint combinations identified were:Baihui-Shenting,Shenmen-Anmian,Baihui-Shenting-Sanyinjiao,Baihui-Yintang-Shenting,Zhaohai-Shenmai-Shenmen,and Shenmen-Anmian-Shenting.Cluster analysis of the frequently used acupoints resulted in the identification of four cluster groups.Conclusion:(1)Chinese herbal medicine is used to treat insomnia with cold and warm symptoms in ischemic stroke patients. The main treatment methods are to tonify deficiency and dispel pathogenic factors simultaneously, with tonifying deficiency, promoting blood circulation, dispelling phlegm, and calming the mind being the main approaches.(2)Acupuncture treatment for ischemic stroke-related insomnia mainly focuses on local acupoint selection. The closely associated acupoint groups of Baihui-Shenting and Shenmen-Anmian respectively represent the treatment strategies with Du Meridian as the core and the emphasis on treating the heart and mind. The acupoint selection principles are to regulate the circulation of qi and blood, treat the heart and brain simultaneously, and supplement the internal organs. |
